On Friday, the Eagles announced that they have signed veteran cornerback Parry Nickerson to their team. Nickerson, 29, was one of four tryout players at the Eagles’ mandatory minicamp this week.
Nickerson has a wealth of experience playing in various defensive schemes and brings depth to the Eagles’ cornerback position. He previously played for Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio with the Dolphins last season, appearing in five games and recording five tackles on defense and 19 on special teams.
Throughout his career, Nickerson has totaled 33 tackles and one pass defensed in 30 games. His familiarity with Fangio’s coaching style could prove valuable in transitioning to a new team. The Eagles will look to utilize Nickerson’s skills and experience to strengthen their defense heading into the upcoming season.
