EA Sports’ College Football 25 Game Set to Return, Bringing Excitement to Fans with Tier Rankings for FBS Teams”.

Virginia Tech football: The Hokies ranked as a Tier 2 team by EA Sports

EA Sports’ College Football 25 game is set to return, bringing excitement to fans who remember the greatness of the older versions of the game. The first EA Sports college game was released in 1993, with the last version debuting in 2014. However, due to a dispute between athletes and the NCAA, players’ likenesses were used without their names in the game.

Despite being discontinued, dedicated players could still manually input their favorite players’ names. One of the highlights of the series was playing as legendary teams like Virginia Tech Hokies. Players could control stars like Michael Vick, Cornell Brown, Andre Davis, Lee Suggs, and others.

Recently, EA Sports announced tier rankings for FBS teams based on their performance in the final AP Poll rankings over the past decade. The Hokies were placed in Tier 2, which entitled them to $59,925.09 in video game royalties. Only Clemson from the ACC made it to Tier 1 while other ACC teams like Florida State North Carolina and North Carolina State joined them in Tier 2.

The game is set to release on July 19 for PlayStation 5 Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X platforms. With new features and updated rosters, College Football 25 is sure to be a hit with both old and new fans of the game.
