The ownership group that recently purchased Elevation Station in Broussard has big plans for the facility. They are currently in the process of adding a six-lane duckpin bowling alley to the complex. According to co-owner Todd Dusang, who is also a Metairie attorney, the work on the new addition is expected to be complete within the next three weeks.
Duckpin bowling is a unique variation of the traditional 10-pin game, featuring wider and lighter pins called duckpins on shorter lanes. Players will use smaller bowling balls without finger holes and be allowed to bowl in their own shoes. The new entertainment area will also include a large screen along the back that can be used to show sports games or other programs. In addition, a café is among the planned additions and is anticipated to be operational by the end of June, offering pizza, sandwiches, drinks, and more.
Dusang and Hentze acquired the business in November for an undisclosed sum as per land records. “Brett knew the previous owner who was looking to sell and move on,” Dusang said. “The establishment had not undergone any improvements since its opening in 2017. We knew that purchasing it would require some changes.” The ownership group also has plans for additional attractions that will be introduced in September.
