Spring 2024 Dean’s Honor Roll for Social Impact: Drake University Celebrates Students’ Community Service Commitment

Drake University is proud to announce the latest cohort of students who have been named to the Dean’s Honor Roll for Social Impact. This group of eleven students dedicated their time and efforts to completing and documenting at least 20 hours of community service throughout the Spring 2024 semester. Along with their volunteer work, students also reflected on how their contributions influenced both their community and their personal and professional growth.

The students who have been recognized for their dedication to community service in the Spring 2024 Dean’s Honor Roll for Social Impact are Matthew Bell, Jaxon Hicks, Isabella Lopez, Natalie Maxwell, Elliot Nelson, Erika Roehrs, Isabella Schreiter, Marguerite Stoffel, Anna Sturgis, Aiden Volp, and Matthew Williams. These exceptional individuals demonstrate a strong commitment to giving back to society while also pursuing their academic goals.

Alejandro Hernandez, Dean of the Zimpleman College of Business at Drake University, expressed his pride in the students’ commitment to volunteerism. He highlighted the importance of this practice in instilling the value of service within the college community. From first-year undergraduates to master’s candidates, students at the college understand the benefits their contributions bring to both themselves and others.

All undergraduate and graduate business students are encouraged to aim for inclusion in the upcoming fall semester cohort of the Dean’s Honor Roll for Social Impact. Each semester represents a fresh opportunity for students to engage in at least 20 hours of community service and contemplate the impact of their experiences. By participating in these programs, they not only make a difference but also develop valuable skills that will benefit them throughout their careers.
