Improving STEM Education Through Technology Upgrades at Tulsa Charter School

Dove Science Academy, a Tulsa charter school, is currently undergoing a significant upgrade to its internet technology. The school will be the first Pre-K through 12th grade institution in the country to utilize the new WiFi standard known as “Wi-Fi-7.” As part of the upgrade, Dove Schools is currently renovating its facility in preparation for the merger of Dove High School onto the campus next year. This merger will result in nearly 1,000 students using Chromebooks connected to the same network.

The new “Wi-Fi-7” technology promises increased reliability and higher bandwidth, offering students faster upload and download speeds. It also provides better connectivity both inside and outside the building. John Franklin, a representative from Dove Science Academy, emphasized the school’s commitment to advancing STEM education by staying on the cutting edge of technology. Franklin stated that it is crucial to future-proof the school’s technology to prepare students for the demands of the workforce, especially in computer science and coding.
