Michael Chandler is set to face off against Conor McGregor in a highly anticipated fight on 29 June, but some doubts have emerged about McGregor’s readiness for the bout. A video of McGregor dancing at a festival with his wife went viral and led some fans to question his focus on training.
However, McGregor has since shared photos of himself sparring on Instagram, captioning one post with “Fighting, competing, it’s in my blood #FightingIrish”. This suggests that he is fully focused and prepared for the upcoming challenge. Meanwhile, Chandler has also been regularly posting updates of his own training sessions as he prepares to headline UFC 303 with McGregor in Las Vegas.
In response to the doubts surrounding his readiness, McGregor and Chandler are set to face off at a press conference in Dublin on 3 June. This move by the UFC is rare as they have not held an international press tour since 2015 before McGregor’s fight with Jose Aldo. McGregor’s last fight was in July 2021 where he broke his leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier while Chandler also faced Poirier in November 2022 losing by submission.
Despite their recent losses, both McGregor and Chandler are determined to prove themselves in their upcoming fight. Fans are eagerly awaiting the showdown between these two talented fighters on 29 June.
