Double Trouble at Sonoma Raceway: NASCAR Xfinity and Cup Series Qualify and Race on Saturday

Saturday Schedule for NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series at Sonoma Raceway

On Saturday, NASCAR Xfinity Series teams will be qualifying and racing on the 1.99-mile road course at Sonoma Raceway. At the same time, Cup teams will be preparing for Sunday’s race by qualifying on the same day. The Saturday schedule includes mostly sunny skies with a high of 77 degrees and no chance of rain at the start of the Xfinity race.

The garage will open at 11 a.m. for both series, with track activity taking place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. for the Xfinity Series, including qualifying which will be broadcast on FS2. Cup Series qualifying will also take place during this time, from 6 to 7 p.m., and will be broadcast on FS2, Performance Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

After qualifying, the Xfinity race will take place at 8 p.m., consisting of 79 laps totaling 156.95 miles, and will be broadcast on FS1, PRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. With no rain in sight at the start of the race, drivers can focus on their strategies and techniques to come out on top in this exciting event at Sonoma Raceway.
