Dolphins’ Key Players Attend Offseason Program Amid Contract Discussions

Dolphins minicamp features Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel has confirmed that both quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide receiver Tyreek Hill are attending the team’s minicamp. Despite the fact that they have some key offensive players seeking new contracts, this hasn’t deterred them from participating in the offseason program.

Tagovailoa, who is entering the final year of his rookie deal, has been in and out of the offseason program as he tries to determine his future with the team. McDaniel stated that Tagovailoa’s workload will largely be determined by himself. He emphasized that they are excited to see how Tagovailoa will approach his training and what he brings to the table for the upcoming season.

On the other hand, Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus has informed the Dolphins of his client’s contract expectations following a wave of wide receivers signing extensions this offseason. Rosenhaus emphasized that Hill is committed to staying in Miami, but he wants to be compensated fairly for his skills and contributions to the team.

McDaniel noted that Hill appeared content during the minicamp and described him as a valuable asset to the team. Although he is not expected to participate in team drills, McDaniel refrained from discussing contract details publicly. The Dolphins are focused on preparing for their next season and are confident that they have a solid foundation in place with their key offensive players.
