Wild, Odd & Weird: A Special Assembly on the Gentler Side of Wild Animals

On Thursday, June 27, from 10:15 to 11:00 am, science educators from Wildmind Science Learning will be hosting a special assembly outside the Menlo Park Library (800 Alma St.). The event aims to explore the gentler side of some of the most misunderstood animals in the wild kingdom.

During the assembly, myths surrounding these animals will be dispelled, and their important roles in nature’s diverse web of life will be explored. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the significance of all living things, including those that are commonly perceived as “creepy.”

The teachers at this event include an opossum, tarantula, vulture and boa. The lineup is subject to change but attendees can expect to learn about these animals and appreciate their unique characteristics in a fun and engaging setting.

This special assembly is a great opportunity for students to learn about wildlife in an interactive way and challenge any misconceptions they may have about these fascinating creatures. Don’t miss out on this unique experience!
