Natural Science Museum in Lawrence County to Host ‘Dinosaurs Around the World’ Exhibition

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks’ Mississippi Museum of Natural Science is excited to host a new exhibit called “Dinosaurs Around the World: The Great Outdoors” from June 8 to January 5, 2025. This interactive exhibit will take visitors on a journey through time to explore the Age of Reptiles through 11 animatronic dinosaurs and cutting-edge research. Guests will be able to experience a prehistoric Earth and walk alongside these ancient creatures.

The exhibit is included with museum admission or foundation membership, and special weekly dinosaur-themed “Fun Fridays” will be held from June 7 to July 12. Visitors can also attend the “Tea Party with a T-Rex” event on November 16. Museum Director Charles Knight encourages visitors of all ages to come face-to-face with the giants of the past and enjoy this thrilling adventure.

Visitors can see dinosaurs like the Tyrannosaurus rex from North America, the Herrerasaurus from Mongolia, and the Oviraptor from China, among others. The exhibit aims to transport guests back in time and provide an educational experience that is both fun and engaging. The Museum is located at 2148 Riverside Drive in LeFleur’s Bluff State Park. Admission prices are $8 for adults, $6 for youth ages 3-18, and $7 for senior citizens ages 60 and up.
