Celebrating Animals with Disabilities: Science Central’s Disability Day

Science Central in Fort Wayne, Indiana is hosting its third Disability Day of the year on Saturday, June 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event aims to provide an enjoyable museum experience for people with disabilities by making accommodations available. Individuals with physical, intellectual, and emotional disabilities are encouraged to attend and explore the discovery center with reduced noise levels, smaller crowds, and access to listening devices in place.

This particular Disability Day is focused on all things animals, giving attendees the opportunity to learn about a variety of different creatures. To enhance the overall experience for visitors, Science Central is offering access to a sensory room and more hands-on demonstrations. Additionally, the fourth and final Disability Day for the year is scheduled for July 2 with a UFO theme.
