Discover the Wonders of Animal Science: A Hands-on Learning Experience for Youth in Curtis, Nebraska

KRVN Radio Stations and KAMI Present: Animal Science Discovery Day

The annual Animal Science Discover Day is an exciting event that invites all youth aged 8-18 years old to participate. This year’s event will take place on May 29th, Wednesday from 9:00am-3:30pm at the NCTA Campus in Curtis, NE. Participants can expect a wide range of workshops taught by animal science teachers, covering topics such as meat science, calving simulation, horse IV, Livestock skillathon, quiz bowl, Zoonosis, Animal welfare, Ag Advocacy and more!

The sessions are designed to provide a fun and relaxed learning environment for participants. Parents and other adults interested in the livestock industry and educating youth are also encouraged to register and participate. This event offers a unique opportunity for youth to learn more about the livestock industry, prepare for competitions and enhance their life skills.

Registration for the event is open until May 22nd and costs $15 per participant. Late registrations will be $20 per participant. Nebraska Extension educators, UNL Animal Science professors and NCTA teachers will lead the sessions providing valuable knowledge and insight into the industry.
