Discover the Exciting World of Science: Viterbo University’s Fired Up for Science Event

The annual Fired Up for Science event at Viterbo University is taking place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, at the D.B. and Marge Reinhart Center on campus. This event promises to be a fun and engaging experience for participants of all ages, as STEM faculty and students showcase their interactive and visually appealing experiments that are designed to inspire, educate and entertain.

Upon arrival, participants can sign in at the Skogen Welcome Center in the Reinhart Center and then explore more than a dozen areas that showcase the fun side of science. From soda-and-Mentos geysers and “whoosh bubbles” to “elephant toothpaste,” “rainbow milk,” strawberry DNA, slime, and interesting critters, there is something for everyone at this event.

Scott Gabriel, a biochemistry professor at Viterbo University, expressed his excitement about Fired Up for Science. He stated that this event is a highlight for the university as it allows them to ignite a passion for science in young individuals that could lead to a greater curiosity about the world around them. The event is open to all and free of charge, with no registration required. So come along and discover the exciting world of science!
