Willett et al., for example, published an article in the Lancet in 2019 that addressed further aspects of diet and health. Meanwhile, Gay et al. tackled hypertension in a 2016 article published in Hypertension.
Van Horn et al. also contributed to the conversation with their 2016 article in Circulation, while Estruch et al. published a highly relevant article on advances in nutrition in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2018. Hernaez et al., who published an article on nutrition in Nutrients, also addressed this topic more recently, while Nirgianakis et al. discussed nutrition and reproductive health in a 2022 publication.
Other researchers have focused on specific aspects of diet and health, such as regional variations (Sattar et al., who published an article on regional health in Southeast Asia), or the intersection of diet and lifestyle factors (Rosenfeld et al., who explored these topics in a recent article).
