DEWA presents innovative projects at the World Future Energy Summit

At the World Future Energy Summit 2024, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is showcasing its most prominent projects in the renewable and clean energy sector, smart initiatives, and efforts to advance sustainable development. Their participation in Hall No. 5 (Energy Hall) highlights their commitment to promoting the transition towards a green economy and solidifying Dubai’s position as a global future energy capital.

DEWA’s seawater desalination plant using reverse osmosis (SWRO) technology, powered by solar energy, is one of the main projects highlighted at the summit. This plant can produce 40 million gallons of desalinated water per day, contributing to sustainability efforts in water production.

Visitors can also learn about the green hydrogen project at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the “Green Charger” initiative for electric vehicles, and the Innovation Center aimed at fostering a culture of innovation and sustainability. The model of the Al Sheraa Building, designed to be the tallest, largest, and smartest zero-energy government building in the world, is also on display.

One of DEWA’s most prominent projects is the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, which has a production capacity set to exceed 5,000 megawatts by 2030. The complex plays a crucial role in achieving UAE’s Climate Neutrality 2050 goals. Visitors can learn about the latest solar technologies used in this project at DEWA’s booth in Hall No. 5 (Energy Hall).

Overall, DEWA’s presence at the summit serves as a testament to their commitment to sustainable development, innovation, and advancing clean energy solutions.
