A devastating fire swept through Tri-State Lawn Care, a local business in Flatwoods, Kentucky on Tuesday afternoon. The building, which was owned by Michael Wheeler, was engulfed in flames in a matter of minutes, leaving decades of dedication and hard work up in smoke.
Wheeler, unable to be on-site during the fire, was overwhelmed with shock and disbelief as he received news of the disaster. Despite his grief, he expressed gratitude that everyone made it out safely and remained determined to rebuild and move forward.
The fire broke out at the business on Argillite Road and was occupied by three to four people at the time. Flatwoods Fire Chief Brent Dean reported that the building was completely destroyed due to the intense heat and flames. However, all occupants were able to escape unharmed thanks to the quick response of the firefighters who arrived on scene.
Wheeler expressed his appreciation for the support of the community and thanked the firefighters who risked their lives to put out the blaze. As a long-standing presence in Flatwoods, Tri-State Lawn Care remains committed to overcoming this setback and rebuilding for a brighter future.
