Oxford Health Patients File Class Action Lawsuit for Lack of Eating Disorder Care

In a class action lawsuit, more than 400 patients who were denied nutrition counseling services by Oxford Health Insurance Inc. have taken legal action against the insurer. These individuals, covered by Oxford health plans, sought these treatments to help manage their eating disorders but were ultimately denied coverage by the insurer.

During the relevant time period, it is estimated that up to 1,795 patients could have benefited from these treatments. The lawsuit aims to hold Oxford Health Insurance Inc. accountable for failing to provide necessary coverage for individuals struggling with eating disorders.
