Deloitte Acquires CasePointer Business to Expand Its Customizable Solutions and Strengthen Health and Human Services Expertise

Deloitte purchases End Point’s assets related to disease surveillance business

Deloitte, a global consulting firm that offers a range of services including financial advisory, audits, tax services, and risk management, recently announced the acquisition of End Point’s CasePointer business. This move underscores Deloitte’s commitment to enhancing its customizable solutions and expanding into new markets.

CasePointer is an open-source public health software that utilizes AI to streamline processes for state and local public health agencies in relation to epidemiologic requirements and disease surveillance. By integrating CasePointer with its GovConnect digital assets, which comprise public sector digital modules and AI co-pilots designed to assist government agencies with technology involving communicable diseases, bioterrorism events, and environmental hazards, Deloitte aims to provide more comprehensive solutions to its clients.

The acquisition includes a team of software engineers, DevOps engineers, cloud developers, former public health officials, and epidemiologists from CasePointer who will be joining Deloitte as part of the deal. This move aligns with Deloitte’s strategic investments in the health and human services sector and strengthens its industry expertise in this area.

In recent years, Deloitte has been incorporating generative AI technology into its offerings for health and human services agencies to help them update legacy platforms and enhance user experiences with government programs. This trend is part of a broader effort by companies like Syra Health to improve the critical services they provide to public health clients. Syra Health has secured several contracts with various local and state agencies over the past year, including agreements with the City of San Antonio, Indiana, Virginia, and Washington.
