DeKalb County Sports Bar Shooting Leaves One Dead; Suspect Charged with Malice Murder

Authorities probing fatal shooting outside DeKalb County sports bar

A shooting occurred near a DeKalb County sports bar early Saturday morning, resulting in the death of a 34-year-old individual. The incident took place around 3:45 a.m. at DaBomb Sports Grill on Evans Mill Road in Lithonia. Authorities responded to the scene and discovered the victim with multiple gunshot wounds in a nearby parking lot. They apprehended 38-year-old Henry Anderson in connection with the crime and took him to DeKalb County Jail. Anderson is facing charges of malice murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, as well as an outstanding arrest warrant from Gwinnett County for allegedly escaping from law enforcement.

According to the owner of DaBomb Sports Grill, the shooting occurred in an area with trees in front of his establishment, situated behind a Citgo gas station. He stated that two men had come to the sports bar to use the restroom after being turned away by another nearby restaurant. The security guard at the grill mentioned that the men were required to pay to enter the premises. Following this, the men went behind the gas station to relieve themselves, where one of them was shot by what appeared to be a homeless individual, as per the owner’s account. He claimed that surveillance cameras captured the incident.
