Defiant Duo: Salvini and Vannacci Embrace Controversial Values at Italy Presentation

Salvini argues that “Vannacci and I are not as terrible as portrayed”

During a public meeting for the presentation of the book ‘Controvento, the Italy that does not give up’, Matteo Salvini, the Northern League secretary, defended his and Vannacci’s values of identity, work, and defense of borders. He stated that they are not as bad as some people make them out to be. Salvini mentioned that he recently met Vannacci this summer after the media backlash against him and that he is against all forms of censorship.

The meeting was attended by various Northern League representatives, including ministers, deputy secretaries, undersecretaries, parliamentarians, and MEPs. Salvini emphasized that the upcoming elections will have no influence on the Italian government, which he believes will last until 2027. He highlighted the importance of maintaining a strong national identity and sovereignty, as well as the need for security and secure borders.

Vannacci echoed Salvini’s sentiments by emphasizing the importance of identity, homeland, borders, security, and national sovereignty. He clarified that there is no conflict between national and European sovereignty. Both Salvini and Vannacci reaffirmed their commitment to speaking their minds and not succumbing to censorship or hypocrisy. They described themselves as a “Luciferian couple for the left” due to their outspoken beliefs and values.
