USF appoints a new dean for Muma College of Business

David Blackwell, a highly experienced academic with an impressive track record in business leadership, has been appointed as the new Lynn Pippenger Dean of the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida. Prior to this appointment, Blackwell served as the associate dean for professional graduate programs at the University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business and Economics.

As he takes on his new role, Blackwell is eager to provide leadership for the college which comprises approximately 8,400 students, nearly 180 faculty members, and over 110 staff members across USF’s three campuses. His experience in this field is extensive, having held positions at several esteemed educational institutions such as Texas A&M University, the University of Georgia, the University of Houston, and Emory University.

Blackwell is confident that his wealth of experience and expertise will enable him to lead the Muma College of Business towards continued success and excellence. He looks forward to working with students, faculty members, and staff to achieve these goals.
