Danske Bank ASP Loan Customers Caught in Technical Glitch Error

An error in Danske Bank’s system caused a setback in ASP customers’ holiday savings

Danske Bank recently experienced a system error that led to some of its ASP loan customers being charged with excessively large installments in June. The bank has acknowledged the mistake and has promised to rectify it by correcting the error in the July installment. The error was due to a technical glitch in the calculation of interest subsidies for ASP customers, resulting in incorrect charges being applied to some accounts.

A reader alerted HS:n to the issue, providing a screenshot from Danske Bank confirming the error. In the June installment, interest subsidies for that month were not paid, and part of the interest subsidy for May was also recovered mistakenly. While the bank has assured customers that the error will be corrected in the next installment, some customers expressed frustration with the impact the mistake had on their finances just before the summer vacation.

Danske Bank’s director responsible for personal customer financing, Sari Takala, confirmed the technical error and assured customers that the issue would be automatically corrected in the upcoming installment. Customers have been informed about the error, and no action is required on their part to rectify the mistake. Despite this setback, Danske Bank is committed to ensuring that its customers receive accurate charges and interest subsidies on their loans.
