Dancing for Peace: Nigerian Envoy Duo Leads Empowerment Initiative through Breakdance

Sports Envoys Promote Peace and Unity in Nigeria

Breakdancing has long been recognized as an effective tool for promoting peace and unity, and two Nigerian envoys are leading the charge in this initiative. Macca Malik and Jacob “Kujo” Lyons are at the forefront of the “Harmony through Breakdance” program, which seeks to empower Nigerian youth through the art of breakdancing. This program operates in Abuja and Lagos, with a focus on participants from conflict-ridden areas.

The program includes coaching clinics, training sessions, and a culminating peace concert to showcase the talents of the youth involved. In addition to these efforts, Malik and Lyons have established breaking clubs in Abuja and Lagos to further promote breaking as a tool for peacebuilding. These clubs aim to provide a platform for Nigerian breakers to showcase their skills on an international stage, as Nigeria gears up to participate in the International Breakdance Championship.

Through their work, Malik and Lyons are not only promoting the art of breakdancing but also advocating for peace and unity within their communities. The “Harmony through Breakdance” program is making a positive impact by harnessing the talents of Nigerian youth and using breakdancing as a means to promote peace and security. Overall, these envoys are dedicated to ensuring that breaking continues to serve as a powerful tool for building harmony in Nigeria.
