Czech Republic defeats Sweden 7-3 to advance to world ice hockey final against Canada or Switzerland

The Czech Republic has just defeated Sweden 7-3 in the ice hockey world championship to advance to the final for the first time since 2010. The Czechs took a commanding 5-2 lead after scoring three goals in the second period, with Martin Necas and David Kampf each contributing a goal and an assist.

Kase and Sedlak scored in quick succession to give the Czechs a comfortable lead, with Kubalik adding another goal to make it 5-2. Sweden fought back with Joel Eriksson scoring for them, but it was not enough as Sedlak sealed the win for the Czech Republic with two breakaway goals in the third period.
