Cyclists, Volunteers and Sponsors Invited to Join The Ride for Mental Health in New Paltz on June 22-23: Supporting a Cause Near and Dear to Our Hearts

The Mental Health Ride comes back to New Paltz

New Paltz, N.Y. – The Ride for Mental Health is calling out to cyclists, volunteers, and sponsors to join their upcoming fundraiser on June 22nd and 23rd in the area. The event aims to raise funds for mental health services, treatment, and education. With over 500 participants expected, cyclists have the option to choose between three different distances: 25, 50, or 100 miles.

Interested individuals can register as a volunteer, an in-person or virtual rider or make a donation to support the cause on the fundraiser’s website. In addition to the main rides, there will also be a “family fun ride” that covers a 14-mile course and is suitable for all ages. Virtual riders can participate remotely while in-person riders will ride on fully supported road courses that meander through the countryside.

Despite facing cancellations due to COVID-19 during the pandemic, this fundraiser has been in operation since 2017 and has managed to raise over $1.2 million for mental health causes. In 2023 alone, the event saw participation from 470 cyclists, 150 volunteers and over $215,000 raised for McLean Hospital – renowned for its psychiatric treatment services. Join The Ride for Mental Health on June 22nd and 23rd in New Paltz and make a difference in your community’s mental health!
