Cup Rookie Josh Berry Secures Ride with Wood Brothers Racing for 2025: A New Opportunity to Showcase Talent and Winning Abilities

Josh Berry secures deal to join Wood Brothers Racing in 2025

Josh Berry has announced that he will be driving for Wood Brothers Racing next season, replacing Harrison Burton in the No. 21 car. The move makes Berry the second Stewart-Haas Racing driver to secure a new ride for 2025, following the announcement that Stewart-Haas Racing will cease operations after this season.

Berry, a Cup rookie this season, took over the No. 4 car for Kevin Harvick when he retired. Jon Wood, president of Wood Brothers Racing, stated that Berry was the top prospect for the team and is confident that his results will speak for themselves. Berry expressed his excitement about the opportunity and his readiness to deliver results on the track. While the crew chief for Berry has not yet been determined, it is expected that the team will work with personnel from Team Penske, with whom Wood Brothers Racing is aligned.

The team will continue to receive support from Ford Motorcraft/Quick Lane as they seek their 100th career Cup win, with their most recent victory coming in 2017 with Ryan Blaney. Berry’s former SHR teammates, Noah Gragson and Ryan Preece, have not yet announced their plans for next season.

Berry has had four top-10 finishes in the last seven races and believes he is ready for the challenge ahead at Wood Brothers Racing. He emphasized his determination and hard work and said he has proven himself time and time again. This move presents a new opportunity for Berry to showcase his talent and continue his success in the Cup Series.
