Cumberland County: A Top Performer in North Carolina’s Incoming Investment

According to a recent study, Cumberland County is experiencing significant growth in incoming investment, ranking among the highest in North Carolina. The study, conducted by SmartAsset, analyzed key metrics such as business establishment growth, gross domestic product growth, and new building permits to determine the level of investment in each county.

Cumberland County ranked eighth in the state with impressive figures including 16.46% business growth, $6,584 gross domestic product growth, and 5.40 new building permits per 1,000 homes. Mecklenburg County took the top spot, followed by Wake County and Guilford County. However, Jones, Gates, Graham, and Hyde counties were among the lowest-ranking counties in terms of incoming investment.
