Cultural Catalysts: Unveiling Diverse Talents in Cambridge Scientific Labs’ Art Exhibit

Life Science Lab to Host One-Day Art Exhibit Showcasing Underrepresented Artists

An underrepresented art exhibit is coming to Cambridge Scientific Labs, a Watertown life science lab incubator space. The lab, which opened two years ago with two locations in Watertown, has shifted its focus for one evening in June to showcase the works of artists from diverse backgrounds and professions.

Barbara Pearlman, CEO of Cambridge Scientific Labs, saw an opportunity to help local artists gain more recognition and decided to feature underrepresented artists in an exhibit at the lab space. The exhibition, called Cultural Catalysts, aims to highlight the creativity of these artists and foster a synergy between art and innovation in the laboratory environment of the space.

Four artists have been selected to be featured in the exhibition: Michael Green, Rene Robinson, Jules Cleo, and Anoke Deitg Blanchard. Green is a 15-year-old student from Cambridge Ringe and Latin School, while Robinson teaches at Somerville High School. Cleo works in architecture, and Blanchard is a scientist at Novartis. Each artist brings their unique perspective and style to the exhibition.

The event will take place on Thursday, June 6 from 3-6 p.m., at Cambridge Scientific Labs located at 155 Arlington St., Watertown. Attendees will have the opportunity to view and support the works of these diverse and talented artists while enjoying light refreshments at the event. It is recommended that those interested in attending RSVP beforehand for this unique experience celebrating art and innovation together.
