Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise Sought After by Multiple Top Clubs Amidst Interesting Transfer Season

Newcastle and Chelsea request permission from Palace to speak with winger

Crystal Palace has been approached by both Chelsea and Newcastle for permission to open talks with Michael Olise, the talented 22-year-old French winger. With a release clause of around £60m in his contract, several top clubs are interested in activating that amount this summer.

Olise had previously opted to stay with Palace despite an increase in his release clause after Chelsea tried to sign him a year ago. However, Chelsea continues to be interested in the player, but faces strong competition from other clubs such as Newcastle.

Newcastle has requested permission from Palace to speak with Olise and his representatives as they see him as an upgrade in the wide positions following Miguel Almiron’s expected departure from St. James’ Park. Bayern Munich has also shown interest in Olise as they look to rebuild under new head coach Vincent Kompany. Aston Villa, Manchester United, and Arsenal have also been linked with the young player.

Since joining Crystal Palace from Reading, Olise has become one of the Premier League’s best young talents, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in just 14 league starts despite a few injury setbacks last season. His strong performance has attracted the attention of several top clubs who see him as a promising talent with a bright future in the Premier League.
