Crocus City Hall Terrorist Attack Leaves 137 Dead, Extends Search Operation to Tuesday

The terrorist attack that took place in Crocus City Hall on March 22 has led to a tragic loss of life, with 137 people killed and many others injured. The search operation at the site has been extended until Tuesday, March 26, as authorities continue to investigate the incident.

On the evening of March 22, four armed men entered the Crocus City Hall building and began shooting indiscriminately. They also set off a fire and then escaped in a car. The FSB of the Russian Federation later announced that all four suspects had been detained in the Bryansk region. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack, and 11 suspects have been arrested so far.

Debris clearance at Crocus City Hall is ongoing, with rescuers, dog handlers, and builders working tirelessly to locate and retrieve any survivors or remains. On Saturday evening, it was announced that 137 people had been confirmed dead in the attack, including three children. However, not all of the deceased have been identified yet, and approximately 100 victims remain in hospitals.

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations published a preliminary list of victims on March 24, which included names of those who had died in the attack regardless of gender. Some of the listed victims include Abdulova Tatyana Anatolyevna, Almukhametov Ilya Igorevich, Baklemyshev Alexander Borisovich, among others.
