Market Management patient in critical condition following accident in Kon Tum

A 54-year-old male patient, part of a group of Market Management officials, was involved in a fatal traffic accident in Kon Tum and is currently in a coma due to a brain hemorrhage. Doctors at Cho Ray Hospital are working tirelessly to save his life. Dr. Tran Minh Tri, from the Department of Neurosurgery, stated that the patient suffered multiple injuries, including bleeding in several areas of the brain, severe anemia, and broken shoulder blades and ribs. The medical team is transfusing blood, correcting coagulation disorders, and performing surgery to remove hematomas in an attempt to stabilize his condition.

This patient is in the most critical condition among the 15 patients transferred to Cho Ray Hospital after the accident. Six patients with milder injuries have been discharged, while the remaining eight are receiving treatment in different departments such as Traumatic Brain Injury, Ear, Nose and Throat, and Orthopedics. Dr. Tran Phuoc Binh from the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology mentioned that five patients in his department received first aid and treatment for head injuries before being transferred to the hospital in Kon Tum. Two cases required surgery for broken bones in the arms, while others are being treated conservatively without surgery.

In the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat, a female patient with heavy nose bleeding, broken nose bones, and head and face injuries is currently being treated and monitored. Her condition is improving slowly but steadily due to prompt medical attention by doctors at Cho Ray Hospital. Two patients in the Department of Traumatic Brain Injury are also showing signs of improvement; one is expected to be discharged soon if her condition remains stable. The other patient has fractures in the lower leg, forearm, and radius and is undergoing treatment for both bone injuries
