Cristiano Ronaldo Sets New Record in Saudi Pro League and Celebrates with Rare Humility

Ronaldo shatters Saudi Pro League’s all-time scoring record

Cristiano Ronaldo broke a record in the Saudi Pro League by scoring his 35th goal of the season for Al Nassr. The 39-year-old Portuguese forward celebrated his achievement by stating that he doesn’t follow records, they follow him. In the final game of the campaign, Ronaldo scored in first-half stoppage time and later with a header in the 69th minute as Al Nassr defeated Al Ittihad 4-2.

Despite his impressive performance, Al Nassr finished in second place in the league, well behind champions Al Hilal. Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in December 2022, joining a growing number of international players signing lucrative contracts in the Saudi league. His success in the league has earned him a spot in Portugal’s squad for the upcoming Euros in Germany, marking his 11th international tournament appearance.

Ronaldo holds the record for the most goals in men’s international football with 206 appearances and 128 goals. His continued success both domestically and internationally solidifies his status as one of the greatest footballers of all time.
