The 2024 ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup is taking place in Nassau County, Long Island this weekend, and officials will be discussing security details on Wednesday. The Nassau County police are scheduled to hold a briefing at 10:30 a.m. from their headquarters in Mineola. Viewers can watch the event live on CBS News New York.

The games will take place at the newly unveiled Nassau County International Cricket Stadium at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow. This marks the first time ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World matches are held in the United States. Warm-up matches started over the weekend, with the first official match between Bangladesh and India scheduled for Saturday, June 1 at 10:30 a.m. The first regular match in Nassau will be on Monday, June 3, between South Africa and Sri Lanka.
