Raphael Borges Rodrigues, a talented young winger from Melbourne City’s academy, has officially joined Coventry City on a four-year deal. The 20-year-old previously played for Macarthur in the Australian A-League, where he scored six goals in 33 appearances.
Born in the Netherlands, Raphael also represents Australia at the Under-23 level. Mark Robins, manager of Coventry City, expressed his excitement about the signing. “Raphael is an incredibly talented player with great athleticism,” he said. “We are thrilled to have him on board and look forward to seeing him develop within our team.”
Raphael’s signing marks Coventry City’s first move in the summer transfer window. The Sky Blues, who finished ninth in the Championship and reached the FA Cup semi-finals, are looking forward to seeing the young winger in action and supporting his growth within the team.
“We are confident that Raphael will be a valuable addition to our squad,” said Robins. “He has shown strong performances during the past season and we believe he has a bright future ahead of him.”
