Despite this setback, Uganda should be proud of their fight with the ball throughout the 20 overs. The bowlers maintained tight lines in the first few overs and were economical with their deliveries. Johnson Charles capitalized on this early pace and got into his rhythm, scoring several runs before being dismissed. Ramjani was brought back in the 5th over and made an immediate impact, restricting Charles’ scoring opportunities.
As the field restrictions eased after the Powerplay, Uganda’s spinners played a crucial role in pulling things back during the middle phase of the innings. Despite their best efforts, however, Kyewuta’s final over did not go as planned, allowing the opposition to reach a total of 173.
Overall, Uganda displayed moments of brilliance with the ball but will need to work on their consistency in order to put up a stronger performance in future matches.
