Comcast Xfinity Customers Miss Out on Bally Sports Network as Negotiations Break Down between Comcast and Diamond Sports Group

Comcast Xfinity users may be disappointed as they will not have access to Bally Sports Network, which broadcasts games from various Minnesota sports teams including the Twins, Wild, Timberwolves, and Lynx. This is due to failed negotiations between Comcast and Diamond Sports Group, the owner of Bally Sports.

According to a spokesperson for Comcast, the company plans to reimburse customers who had paid for the network with $8 to $10 per month in credits. Customers can still watch the game on other platforms such as DirectTV, Spectrum, and FuboTV. A spokesperson for the Minnesota Twins expressed disappointment over the situation but emphasized that they are not involved in the negotiation process between Comcast and Bally’s.

Diamond Sports Group has declined multiple offers from Comcast leading to the blackout of Bally Sports Network on Xfinity. The Twins are set to play the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday at 1:10 p.m., but fans who are Comcast Xfinity users can still watch the game on other platforms.

The Minnesota Twins have emphasized their priority is to provide fans with access to watch their games and hope that Comcast and Bally’s can reach an agreement soon. 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has reached out to Diamond Sports Group for a comment and will provide updates as necessary.
