Community leaders unite to advocate for increased pediatric mental health resources

In Colorado Springs, community leaders are working together to advocate for improved pediatric mental health resources. This month, May is Mental Health Awareness Month and leaders gathered at the Ent Credit Union Headquarters to discuss ways to expand resources for mental health services. Children’s Hospital Colorado Region President Greg Raymond was one of the key speakers at the event, highlighting the need for a collective effort to address the gaps in mental health services for children in the region.

Ent Credit Union has been instrumental in raising nearly $2 million for Children’s Colorado since 2019, supporting initiatives such as crisis intervention, staffing, and research. Community leaders and stakeholders are hopeful that these partnerships will lead to expanded access to quality mental health services for children in the region. With growing partnerships and collaboration within the community, leaders expressed optimism about enhancing resources for pediatric mental health. The event served as a platform for discussions and initiatives aimed at strengthening the support system for mental health services for children. Through fundraising campaigns and partnerships, the hope is that this collective effort will make a positive impact on the lives of children in Colorado Springs.
