CSI Softball Team Set to Compete in Third Consecutive World Series

The College of Southern Idaho softball team has earned a spot in the NJCAA Division I Softball World Series for the third consecutive year. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the players and coaches at CSI. During the NJCAA Selection Show, the Golden Eagles were announced as the No. 9 seed in the tournament.

CSI will face off against No. 8 Chattanooga State in their opening game on Monday. Chattanooga State enters the tournament with a record of 45-14 and is riding a hot streak of 14 straight wins to close out the year. On the other hand, CSI finished their season with a 46-14 record, which earned them one of four at-large bids in the tournament. This is a first for the NJCAA as they have awarded bids to teams outside of automatic qualifiers.

CSI closed out their season as District 18 runners-up to Salt Lake Community College. The game against Chattanooga State is scheduled for Monday at 2 p.m. Mountain Time at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama. The team is ready to compete and represent the College of Southern Idaho in the softball world series, where they hope to bring home another championship title.
