Coffee & Conversation: Connecting Business and Hospitality Majors with Potential Internships and Full-Time Job Opportunities

Organizing an Extended Networking Event: Business Club takes the Lead

The Penn College Business Club, in collaboration with the Event Management & Coordination class, hosted Coffee & Conversation, an event designed to connect students pursuing business and hospitality majors with potential summer internships or full-time job opportunities. The event attracted 40 employers who participated in a campus tour, a Q&A session for business students, and set up information tables in the Field House to interact with students. Following this, a mixer offered students networking opportunities in a more relaxed setting. Subsequently, an etiquette dinner sponsored by Horizon Federal Credit Union concluded the event.

Ten students played a pivotal role in organizing the event, including Kylee P. Albert, David Brown, Logan M. Confer, Clayton L. Gothel, Kayleigh A. Miller, Becky D. Morrison, Chloe R. Orr, Evan Pickering, Jajuan J. Ramirez, and Alicia M. Wyland. Furthermore, student-athletes from the men’s basketball and wrestling teams as well as the Wildcat mascot assisted the employers in setting up their information tables in the Field House.
