Coachella and Stagecoach Drive Increased Bookings at Palm Desert’s Hotel Paseo: Fans Are Willing to Pay Top Dollar for Memorable Festival Experiences

Study finds music festivals contribute $600 million to local economy

The Hotel Paseo in Palm Desert is experiencing a surge in bookings for the upcoming three weekends as festival-goers from across the country check in to attend music festivals like Coachella and Stagecoach. Festival-goers are arriving from cities like Atlanta and New York to enjoy the desert vibes and music scene.

Ryan Thomas, the director of sales and marketing at Hotel Paseo, mentioned that they are fully staffed to meet the demand during the festival weekends, with all 149 rooms booked. Despite the high prices for attending these festivals, such as Coachella which could cost around $4k for the weekend, festival-goers believe that it’s an expensive but worthwhile experience.

According to Drew, a festival attendee from Atlanta, attending Coachella is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that he can’t afford to miss. Another duo from New York estimated their expenses between $10k to $15k for attending Stagecoach, emphasizing that it’s not just about the price tag but about creating unforgettable memories with friends and family.

The economic impact of music festivals in April brings in around $600 million to the Coachella Valley according to the City of Indio. The excitement and anticipation for the upcoming weekends is palpable among both guests and hotel staff who are ready to make the most out of festival season.
