Club Closes: Medusa’s Lair Shuts Down After Health Inspection Violations

Health Department shuts down adult entertainment club in Bloomfield

After a health inspection, Medusa’s Lair, an adult entertainment club in Pittsburgh’s Bloomfield neighborhood, has been ordered to close. The establishment was cited for multiple violations including inadequate cross-contamination prevention, a dish machine that was not sanitizing properly, lack of hot water, and improper use of toxic items, according to a report from the Allegheny County Health Department.

During the inspection, the inspector found raw beef stored on top of cheese, a pest strip at the bar, and curtains instead of doors in the restroom. These violations led to the decision to shut down the club.
