Tony McFarr, an accomplished stunt double known for his work with Chris Pratt in various films such as “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and the “Jurassic World” series, passed away at the age of 47. His mother confirmed the news, stating that he died at his home near Orlando, Florida. The cause of death has not been disclosed, but it was reported on the website of the Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home in Merritt Island, Florida.

Throughout his career, McFarr worked on numerous movies and TV shows starting in the early 2010s. He first began as Pratt’s stunt double in “Jurassic World” in 2015, followed by “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” in 2017 and “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” in 2018. He also performed stunts for Pratt in the 2016 movie “Passengers” and has credits in other major blockbusters and Marvel films such as “Captain America: Civil War,” “Ant-Man and the Wasp,” “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2,” “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” and “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.”

Born Antonio Gerard McFarr on Oct. 12, 1976, his career began with acting roles on TV shows like “Burn Notice,” “One Tree Hill,” “Army Wives,” “Graceland,” “Cell,” and “MacGyver.” However, his main focus was on stunt work. He doubled for other actors as well, including Jon Hamm in “Tag” and Brendan Fraser in “The Poison Rose.” McFarr also contributed to movies like “Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It,”
