China and Ras Al Khaimah: Building Stronger Economic Ties Through Collaboration

Ras Al Khaimah Chamber seeks to enhance collaboration with China

Recently, Mohammed Musabah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, met with a delegation from the Republic of China. The meeting was led by Shen Sun Rong, Chairman of the Chinese Business Council in the UAE and included Zhou Lian, Advisor to the Economic and Commercial Office at the Embassy, as well as members of the diplomatic corps at the Embassy of the Republic of China in the country. In attendance were more than 30 directors and presidents of Chinese companies.

At the meeting, Al Nuaimi praised the strong economic and trade relations between the UAE and China, specifically highlighting Ras Al Khaimah’s important role in these relations. He emphasized that leaders are committed to developing these relations across various sectors and fostering collaboration that benefits businesses.

Al Nuaimi provided an overview of Ras Al Khaimah’s services to investors and business sector. He emphasized on how diversification has strengthened their economic system beyond oil. Today, Ras Al Khaimah’s economy is based on tourism, business, manufacturing, shipping and transportation services as well as natural resources which makes it an attractive destination for industries looking for investment opportunities.

Representatives from Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKZ), Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, Ras Al Khaimah Ports, Stephen Rock Company and RAK Bank shared strategic advantages investing in Ras Al Khaimah during this meeting. The collaboration and discussions aimed at further enhancing economic ties between two countries to create new opportunities for businesses in both countries to thrive together.
