China and Mexico: Strengthening Aerospace Partnerships in Engineering and Lunar Exploration.

China and Mexico to Increase Cooperation in Lunar Exploration, Deep Space Exploration, and Technology Development.

China and Mexico have a strong partnership in aerospace material, with plans to deepen cooperation in engineering matters. According to Yao Jianting, vice director general of the Systems Engineering Department of the China National Space Administration, the two countries share a positive relationship and are working together on lunar exploration projects. There have been visits from Mexican officials to China and plans for Chinese officials to visit Mexican facilities.

The China-Celac Space Cooperation Forum held in Wuhan resulted in the Wuhan Declaration, which outlined collaboration on lunar exploration projects and support for the United Nations’ role in outer space. Venezuela is described as having a very positive relationship with China, being the first Latin American country to join China’s lunar program. China is open to working with scientists from around the world to advance space science and technology.

China has a longstanding cooperation with Brazil, including satellite launches and agreements for space monitoring. The partnership with Argentina is also strong, with a focus on lunar programs and installations for cooperative efforts. Despite rumors about the construction of a Chinese military space base in Argentina, China’s ambassador has provided clarifications, and there is a good foundation for future collaborations between the two countries.
