Billy Dee Williams recently had lunch with his successor Donald Glover, who plays Lando Calrissian in the new Star Wars movies. While they discussed Glover’s upcoming tour, Williams advised him to “be charming” when portraying the beloved character onscreen.
Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino in the music world, has announced a new tour called “The New World Tour,” featuring special guest Willow Smith. The tour includes a performance at TD Garden in Boston on August 23, 2024.
Tickets for the Boston show will go on sale to the general public on May 17, with American Express Card Members getting early access. This tour marks Glover’s first since 2019, following the release of his reissued album “Atavista,” which features new tracks and guest appearances.
Glover, known for hits like “3005,” “Redbone,” and “This is America,” has been less active in the music scene since his last album release. However, he has made appearances on other songs and released a soundtrack for the show he co-created, “Swarm.”
Fans can expect an exciting performance from Childish Gambino in Boston this summer as he takes the stage at TD Garden to showcase his musical talents and entertain the audience.
