Rashee Rice involved in car accident; Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver agrees to assist Dallas authorities as NFL keeps watch on situation

On a Saturday in Dallas, a six-vehicle car crash occurred. The incident led to a police search for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice, as reported by the Dallas Morning News. The report indicates that a vehicle thought to be registered or leased to Rice was involved in an accident at 6:20 p.m. local time on Saturday.

The NFL is closely monitoring the situation, according to league spokesperson Brian McCarthy. Dallas police spokeswoman Kristin Lowman stated that the initial investigation revealed that drivers of a Chevrolet Corvette and a Lamborghini were speeding in the far left lane when they lost control. The Lamborghini hit the center median wall, leading to a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles. Rice is listed as the suspected driver of the Corvette in the police call sheet, and they are currently searching for him in connection with the accident.

While it is unclear whether Rice was present at the accident scene, it is not certain whether he will face charges. As of Sunday morning, Rice was not listed in Dallas County jail records. Two drivers received minor medical attention at the scene, while two others were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The individuals driving the Lamborghini and Corvette both fled the crash site without providing information or checking on the well-being of those involved.

Rice, who was raised in Texas and attended college in Dallas at SMU, was drafted by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft
