Chiefs-Inspired Holiday Love Story: ‘Holiday Touchdown’ Hits Hallmark Channels

The Chiefs to Star in Hallmark Movie ‘Holiday Touchdown: A Love Story’

The Kansas City Chiefs are set to star in a new Hallmark Channel film called “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.” Production for the movie is set to begin in August, with actors Tyler Hynes, Hunter King, and Ed Begley Jr. set to star. The project will be filmed in Kansas City, Missouri.

Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President of Programming at Hallmark, expressed excitement about the collaboration between the network and the Chiefs. She highlighted their shared values and community spirit as reasons for the partnership.

In “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story,” Alana Higman (King) enters her family into a contest to be named the biggest fan of the year. Derrick (Hynes), the Chiefs’ Director of Fan Engagement, is tasked with judging the families to determine the winner. As Alana and Derrick spend time together, a connection forms between them, challenging Alana to consider the role of fate in their meeting. While it’s unclear which Chiefs players will make appearances in the film, scenes will be filmed at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, the team’s home field.

The upcoming movie promises to blend the excitement of professional football with the heartwarming storytelling that Hallmark is known for. It showcases the community spirit, traditions, and passionate fans that define Kansas City. Earlier this year, the Chiefs released a spoof trailer of a Hallmark Christmas film featuring Tyler Hynes in a different role.
