Study Finds Blackhawks Fans to be the Most Aggressive in the NHL – NBC Sports Chicago

Sports fans, particularly hockey fans, are renowned for their fervor and devotion to the sport. Whether you’re at a game at the TD Garden in Boston or the Bell Centre in Montreal, the experience of witnessing the action on the ice in person is unrivaled.

A recent study conducted by casinos.org found that Chicago Blackhawks fans are the most aggressive in the NHL. The study surveyed 3,000 NHL fans in the United States and Canada about their sportsmanship behaviors. Questions included how often they boo, cheer for injuries, engage in trash-talking on social media, show remorse for past unsportsmanlike behavior, and demonstrate empathy for the opposing team. The data was synthesized into an “ice cold” index.

According to the study, Blackhawks fans scored the highest on the index with a score of 96.9 out of 100. The Colorado Avalanche fans came in second with a score of 94.0, while the Ottawa Senators fans were rated as the “warmest” with a score of 5.5.
