Chicago Bears Join the Hard Knocks Training Camp Series for First Time, Showcasing Rookie QB and Improving upon Last Season’s Record

HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ selects Chicago Bears as featured team for 2024 season

The Chicago Bears will be featured on the upcoming season of Hard Knocks, the popular NFL training camp documentary series. This marks the first time the Bears have been showcased on the show and they are also the first team to have a rookie quarterback drafted No. 1 since 2018. Caleb Williams, a rookie quarterback out of USC, was selected by the Bears with the top pick last month and they are looking to improve upon their 7-10 record from the previous season.

Hard Knocks has been featuring NFL franchises since its debut in 2001, with 14 teams being shown a total of 32 times. The series has won 18 Sports Emmys for its captivating storytelling. The Bears’ five-episode series will air on HBO and stream on Max starting on August 6th, following Hard Knocks: Offseason which debuts in July and focuses on the New York Giants. Both series will be narrated by Liev Schreiber.

NFL Films’ senior director and supervising producer, Shannon Furman, expressed gratitude to the Chicago Bears for allowing access to their training camp. She highlighted the talented roster, coaching staff, and front office of the Bears as all working towards meeting the expectations of their devoted fanbase. The Bears follow in the footsteps of the New York Jets who were featured on the 2023 training camp edition of Hard Knocks.
