The former Chapel Hill Mall in Akron, located on the corner of Brittain Road, Buchholzer Boulevard, and Howe and Independence avenues, has been transformed into a modern business park. Now owned by Industrial Commercial Properties and Storage of America, the complex covers 900,000 square feet and has undergone extensive redevelopment to accommodate modern industrial and commercial needs.
ICP owns a significant portion of the complex at 2000 Brittain Road, which spans over 715,000 square feet across 60 acres of land. Storage of America has also acquired a portion of the mall, with a building measuring 169,000 square feet that was previously occupied by Macy’s. Additionally, Storage of America owns 8 acres of land within the business park.
The complex currently offers approximately 40,826 square feet of space available for lease. Since its closure in 2021, four new businesses have moved into the complex, bringing new life to the area. In fact, Storage of America had already purchased the former Macy’s building in 2019 as part of their plans to redevelop the property into a thriving business park.
